Hero

Hero is the class that can summon the most soldiers among all classes (up to 10) although you may opt for a build that doesn’t require soldiers at all. Hero is also the most versatile class among all classes being able to run physical (ultimate) builds, magic builds, or a soldier builds with a side of physical or magic.

The pure physical build for hero plays almost exactly like warrior. Although you do not have all the ultimate skills that warrior has, you enhance your limited skill choice with the skill “Intensify” (lvl.55), which help you deal a bonus amount of damage. Your rotation would be auto attack > intensify > ultimate > auto attack etc. Similar to warrior you build for Con plus either Str (short, long, heavy weapon) or Rea (bow and 2-hand weapon.)

The pure magic build makes use of, again, intensify and general skills (spells). Although you are allowed to use any weapon to cast spells it is recommended to use short weapons, in this case, swords as they have the highest general skill boost rating and you can also equip large shield for extra defense. As magic warrior you learn stronger general skills as you level up and you spam that skill until you get better skills at higher levels. During PvP, you charge up your skills with intensify and cast your skills. To build a magic Hero you build for Wit.

The soldier-based build is the build that maximize the use of soldiers. It is based off of weapons or magic build with an extra of having up to 10 soldiers following you in battle. The most important stat for summoning soldiers is Cha so you will be investing in Cha as your primary stat. Your secondary stat maybe Str, Rea, Wit depending on your primary weapon, and/or con for survivability. At higher levels where your gears grant sufficient extra Cha (lvl. 100+) then you might want to reallocate points from Cha to build other stats.

Although Hero have summon skills, summoned troops are not valued as much as soldiers for the Hero class.

The most recommended builds are the soldier-based builds as they are good for surviving on their own and also provide support for teammates. For solo play, soldier-based Hero can keep healing your soldiers while they deal damage against bosses, while for party, the same healing skills can be used for teammates as well. Weapon of choice do matter although it does not matter as much, since in a party, your role will be a healer and all is good as long as nobody dies.
